The Beard Presents… AO2 – Boistorous Blues, Freaky Folk

AO2 – Boisterous Blues, Freaky Folk from The_Beard4904 on 8tracks Radio.

In honor of the publication’s return to existence, I’ve unearthed, reconfigured, and tweaked the quintessential mix of oddness and acceptability. These original AO tunes are the original reason I started courting whiskely warriors way back in the forgotten past of ’07.

This reinvigorated take on my original Freaky Folk comp (a fave of both genial and gentle souls) dips in and out of the UK folk underground, while simultaneously tapping some of blues’ most overlooked bad boys (not to mention long-forgotten obscurities). To say this baby has been retooled is something of an understatement — I pretty much completely redid it in honor of the ocassion. Oddities abound, but, generally this baby is primed for fall laments, chilly afternoons, and long walks through the freak-folk forest.
