While Krautrock pioneers like Can and Kraftwerk are celebrated internationally as ’70s innovators, Amon Duul remains the unfortunate property of obscurists. Equally bizarre and inventive, the collective carved out a few= psych-rock classics alongside the oddities. Buried in one of the group’s lesser-acclaimed albums, “I Can’t Wait” is a rock epic every bit the equal of similar songs by the Who, but with a singular German groove and weird-out aesthetic.
