Aphex Twin – Caustic Window

Whether in stock, or just streaming in store, we’ve got you covered with real, human-generated recommendations straight from the store stereo. We do not receive anything if you buy. All recommendations are our own. (This for fun!)

Shelved for nearly two decades, Aphex Twins’ lost acid house album under his Caustic Window alias is an aggressive side-step for the already oddball artist. Made in 1994, the album was all but erased from the annals of techno history until a recent kickstarter campaign freed it from obscurity.
The glitch-happy techno don has always shown an affinity for the fringe, but this rattling and bizarre take on a bygone moment is shocking, not simply because of its unique, uncompromising experimentation but also because of the influence it COULD have exerted when it was originally recorded.
