A long-running don of the East Village underground, experimental guitarist Arto Lindsay’s resume couldn’t be any more enormous. Punk, New Wave, No Wave, Art Rock, Post-Punk…. this list goes on an on, each movement counting him as an innovator. And so, one can’t help but feel intimidated by the task of pulling one tune out of it.
“The Prize” lands somewhere in the conglomerate of Lindsay’s interests, a catchy, complex rocker with a subtle ear to the avant garde.
