Tycho – Awake

Whether in stock, or just streaming in store, we’ve got you covered with real, human-generated recommendations straight from the store stereo. We do not receive anything if you buy. All recommendations are our own. (This for fun!)

Bright, airy techno awash in color, Tycho’s albums are the underground equivalent of Chicken Soup for the Soul. The group’s cred is unassailable, enough so that they can flirt with cheesy ’80s synths without regard, creating wide rainbow swirls against endlessly marching beats. Bold and atmospheric. You can certainly trot out the stereo, but Awake is really a headphone record, a walking, observing album that, used correctly, brightens the edges of everything.
