Cashmere Cat remains an enigma, mining pop tropes while simultaneously subverting them with frenetic beats and left-field electronics. The title track from his new ep is characteristically beyond description, a skittering, frantic mash of trap-herotics, bass boostage and pop swiggle. If that all sounds a bit obtuse, perhaps its because I just made all those terms up. Cashmere Cat shouldn’t be the only one getting away with it.
