Memorial Days Future, Past, and Present

Loss’ pre-requisite is love, and its by that metric that we measure our memories. Whether you see Memorial Day as a time for reverie or stoicism, it is with a sense of honor that we contemplate who and what was. But loss is still loss. And, perhaps, in a moment of pause, we might also consider what he haven’t yet shed and how to keep it just a little longer. These three songs soundtrack that procession from sorrow to future solace…

The ache of loss fades as time expels it, but like an echo, its journey abroad may also expand. Old friends live on in our heartache and resurface with it. This is how we live ever on in that spot kept by others, forever, for us.

It is in memory that we hold our love for those who are away. And, it is the dream of the moment when we will reunite that consoles us. Here’s to love held, and reborn in equal order.


 

A SONG FOR HEROES “FUTURE”

It is in the contemplation of the previous two types of loss that we may, perhaps consider building a world where they are less necessary in their application. To a time when we appreciate what we have enough not to sacrifice it idly.
